Through my production company, Stream Studio, I delivered scores of projects across a dozen unique business units. As an account manager, I actively farmed for expansion within and throughout organization and enjoyed preferred vendor status.
My company was the first outside agency to be certified to publish directly to Dell.com and eventually had that privilege extended to our offsite production office. We worked with Dell through three major site Visual Identity transitions as well as their conversion to a custom XML publication system. We were also the first agency to become XML certified for Dell.com. I placed several employees and contractors onsite at Dell to handle content management for marketing segments of major Dell product lines including Latitude, Optiplex, Inspiron and Dimension.
Rapid Application Development
I worked with marketing managers to produce business critical tools for specific cross-segment functions. I led the development of a SQL Server tool that tracked product lifecycles from inception through end-of-life. I also planned and led production of an Oracle-based proof of concept that grew to become a global document management tool for Dell. In each case, we worked within IS/IT standards to deliver B2B & B2B2C solutions that ensured a smooth hand-off for internal support via technical documentation, lucid code and train-the-trainer sessions
I consulted stakeholders to charter projects and then delivered requirements, scope definitions, critical path dependencies, risk analysis, cost & ROI forecasting. I qualified & hired staff and managed development teams on & offsite. I reported budgets, schedules & status to group managers & directors.
