Case Studies

While earning my Psychology Degree at the University of Texas, I became exposed to the science of collecting data and analyzing information. I read countless classical scientific studies and assisted professors and Ph.D. candidates with their active studies. I learned how to research scientific periodicals and develop critical thinking skills required to challenge and debunk interpretive findings. Today, I take political polls with a grain of salt.

My major curriculum covered:
* Abnormal Psychology
* Behaviorial Psychology
* Human Sexuality
* Human Perception
* Child Development
* Family Relationships
* Biology
* Chemistry
* Statistical Analysis
* DSMV-IV

As a subject of several types of studies, I’ve become familiar with 4 Phases of clinical research. I’ve served as a subject for:

* Case Study: natural environment observation
* Case Study: controlled environment observation
* Phone / written / in-person interviews
* Phase I in-house study
* Phase IIb study for new vaccination treatments
* Phase III study for pain medication after oral surgery (I got paid $50 to have my wisdom teeth removed. And yes I DID get the placebo. Ah the joys of being a broke college student!)
