Hi. I’m Shannon.
I am a husband, father and community volunteer in Austin, Texas.
April and I got married one evening at St. Louis de Montfort in Orkut, California. A limo took us north on Highway 101 as the sun dipped below the Pacific. That night, we celebrated with a couple hundred friends in the wine cellar at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo. The next day we headed out to Bora Bora in Tahiti.
Life’s been downhill ever since. (Ha! Ask her.) On 11/11/11, we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. You do the math. We’re still going.
We made some wonderful babies. Mary joined our little family in 2004, Simon in 2007. We’re pretty tight-knit with countless friends and family. Life is an adventure, we love roadtrips to far-flung parts of the North America, especially to visit National Parks.

I’ve worked agency side at GSD&M and Sanders\Wingo, and client side at Charles Schwab, IBM and Automattic. I am currently the Director of Account Strategy at 10up. I love my work and the people with whom I serve.
After graduating from the University of Texas, and a fun stint at the infamous tech start-up Power Computing, I co-founded Stream Studio, one of the first web agencies in Austin, Texas in 1997.
Ten years later, as the business disciplines of marketing and technology converged to become a digital practice, I began working as an executive producer helping traditional advertising agencies offer digital advertising.
I’ve served in project leadership and account management positions for scores of Marketing & IT projects for small businesses, nonprofits, government agencies and Fortune 100 corporations. I specialize in interactive advertising within integrated campaigns, from strategy to production to analysis. I translate business needs for creative and technical teams and then manage tangible results.
I’m regularly asked to participate in panel discussions, seminars and interviews. I have worked in this capacity with the press, industry conventions, business councils, chambers of commerce and entrepreneurial networks. Read more about my expertise, education and community service.
From my vantage…
I see the big picture. I have a passion for digital production, especially when it is tightly integrated with other media. I’ve followed web trends and Internet phenomena since the mid 1990s. Since their inception, I’ve worked with online social networks, emerging media and rich user-generated content like podcasting, vidcasting and nanocasting to target direct audiences and to strengthen communities. The interactive era is still very new and exciting.
I see the details. I’m process oriented, so my tendencies are well suited to organized management and documentation. At the same time, I’m very outgoing with a wide base of interests. I’m a natural mediator, so I function well in team environments with varying personalities and disciplines.
