On a development team, my strengths are in object-oriented architecture, middleware and interface design (GUI, usability and accessibility). It’s difficult to be an expert in every aspect of an enterprise application, but I am resourceful enough to work through virtually every technical problem I encounter.
I am an expert in raw markup and scripting languages like DHTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. I’ve delivered over 100 custom web sites and web-based tools with an array of features and effects for all major business sectors.
I’m know industry and government standards for web publishing to the broad spectrum of user agents, including browsers on varying systems, versions, screen resolutions and colors, handicap browsers and mobile technologies. I strive to build sites in compliance with the Americans with Disabilites Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
As a programmer, I do have experience integrating PERL CGIs and managing web servers on various platforms (Windows/IIS, Unix/FreeBSD/Linux/Apache, MacOS/WebSTAR). I’ve worked with and am familiar with distinctions between major RBDMSs (Oracle, MS SQLServer, Access, MySQL, FileMaker Pro).
